It is important that history be remembered. Fake history, alternative history, and stories that are passed as history do a true disservice to humanity. If real history is forgotten, hidden or obscured, then the errors of the past will be repeated in the future, but as we advance technologically the effects of such errors will be greatly exacerbated.
